Train up a child in the way she should go; even when she is old she will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

Our first Christmas card arrived the other day. I have to admit I was kind of disappointed because it was from a business that we had used earlier in the year.

When I think back on Christmas cards we have received over the years, several come to mind - including the one with impactful words by  Howard Hunter:

"This Christmas mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love, and then speak it again."

Are there a few 'to dos' from this list that are calling to you? When you decide, be sure to create measurable goals so you'll know when you have been successful!

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. - Dalai Lama
Prayer: Holy One, help me to be intentional about the ways I live and love. Amen.
