On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 5:30-8:15 PM, the Lower Providence Community Library will host a Turkish coffee reading night.  The practice of Turkish coffee reading, sometimes referred to as  tasseography , is descended from the tradition of tea leaf reading.  A centuries-old ritual, drinking Turkish coffee is unique not only in the way it is prepared, but also in the way your fortune is told by looking at the cup.  The Turkish coffee reading begins with the traditional preparation of a Turkish coffee, which is then served in a traditional demitasse cup. Once the seeker has finished the cup of coffee, the reading can begin.  Have your Turkish coffee prepared and your fortune read by Neslihan.

Sign up for your 15 minute time slot at the library.
