PWI Prayer Media Ministry

The first part of 2017 has been d evoted to prayer and developing the PWI Prayer Media Ministry . We have recently updated the PWI Website ( www.prayerwatch.net ), activated the PWI Prayer Facebook Mission, and launched a new PWI Prayer Blog Ministry. You are encouraged to check out all of these new PWI Prayer Media ministries and to "like us" on Facebook.   Click here to follow us on Facebook.

The first PWI Prayer Blog series was on Praying For Children, Grandchildren and Families. It was well received all over the world. Praise the Lord! The second Blog series has just started and is entitled, Developing Sensitivity To The Holy Spirit.  We welcome you to visit our website or Facebook page and use the blog as a prayer guide.

PWI has released two brief Prayer Videos: God's Vision of Prayer Given to the Body of Christ through PWI and Maturing Your Spiritual Gifts based on a recent prayer conference in Safford, Arizona.

It is the PWI plan to expand the Prayer Media Ministry by including the following programs (mainly video teaching):
  1.  Stories of Faith (Based on Pastor Bjørn's experiences)
  2.  Prayer Teaching (Similar to the Prayer Teaching in PWI Prayer Schools)
  3. Prayers (Called Living Streams)
  4. Live Streaming of PWI Prayer and Teaching Sessions
Lacey Pedersen is providing capable and anointed leadership to the PWI Prayer Media Ministry. She represents a new generation of ministry partners expanding the global reach of PWI to places and people never reached before!  Please keep her in your prayers as this Media Ministry continues to expand and grow.

The PWI Prayer Media Ministry is a "new wave" of ministry prophesied for nearly 20 years. God is faithful. His prophesies are being fulfilled. Praise The Lord!

 Staff

PWI extends a warm thank you to Bob Gardner - who served as the PWI accountant/bookkeeper from 2014 - 2016.  We greatly appreciate your service.  Please remember Bob and his wife Jo in your prayers, for abundant blessings for all his work.

PWI Office Additions

AnneMarie Pedersen Schmidt is now working as the PWI accountant. Welcome onboard again, AnneMarie! It has been eleven years since she served on the PWI staff. AnneMarie and her family live in Idaho. As you know, many jobs (and ministries) are done via the Internet these days! Please remember AnneMarie and family in your prayers.

A long-time friend, prayer partner and worship leader, Wendy Brown, has joined the PWI Flagstaff office team. Wendy ministered in PWI before joining the staff of Northern Arizona University. Upon her retirement from NAU, she re-joined the PWI office team. Wendy is coordinating the PWI Flagstaff office ministry, helping with bookkeeping duties, and also leading worship at PWI events. Welcome onboard again, Wendy! Prayer support for Wendy and her husband Steve (a PWI prayer warrior) is greatly appreciated.

Prayer Conference - Safford, AZ  (March 2017)

The most recent PWI Prayer Conference in Safford, AZ was well received  (and for the first time, it was made available for those offsite via Facebook).   The conference focused on  Maturing Your Spiritual Gifts.  It was great to have Pastor Bjorn and Pastor Steve Brown teaching as well as Wendy Brown leading worship.

Jennifer Wenham of  Desert Springs Community  Fellowship had the following to say about the  confe rence.

"We were so blessed and enriched by the recent Spiritual Gifts prayer seminar with Prayer Watch International. The 2-
day Spiritual Gifts prayer seminar was absolutely refreshing to our spirits. We saw many breakthroughs in our congregation.  The teachings by Pastor Bjørn and Pastor Steve increased our understanding how to put our gifts into practice. Sunday morning was another time of great breakthrough;  Pastor Bjørn taught on the importance of forgiveness. It's always a joy to have PWI come to Safford and we have enjoyed a beautiful partnership in Kingdom advancement. Thank you, Prayer Watch for your faithfulness and power-packed teachings!"
Peace Be With You
It is recorded in the Gospel of John following the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

19That Sund ay evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among t hem!  "Peace be with you," he said.  20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!   21 Again he said,  "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."  22 Then he breathed on them and said,  Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they  are not forgiven"   (John 20:19-23 NLT).

Jesus' disciples and followers were badly shaken after what happened on Calvary. Jesus, the Son of God, had been crucified. The hope and confidence of the believers were crushed. They wondered what would follow next. They were too distraught to remember what Jesus had said earlier about suffering, dying, and the resurrection.

But Sunday evening when the disciples were hiding behind locked doors, a suddenly happened. It was a supernatural and divine event. Jesus appeared suddenly to them coming through locked doors! The disciples were shocked and speechless! They didn't know how to respond nor what to say!

However, it says that the disciples were  filled with joy when they saw Jesus. In Nehemiah 8:10, we read that the joy of the Lord is our strength . They were strengthened to enter the second phase of ministry in the Kingdom of God.

The first official message Jesus spoke to His disciples following His resurrection was this short, but powerful message:  "Peace be with you." In fact, during Jesus' short appearance, He spoke the same message twice. Furthermore, in His next meeting with the disciples when Thomas was present, Jesus greeted them again with the same message,  "Peace to you!" So in these two recorded meetings with Jesus, three times Jesus said,
"Peace be with you." Jesus imparted a triple anointing of peace on His disciples!  Receive it now, friends of Jesus!

In the midst of the chaos and turmoil following the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, His followers were confused, concerned, and shook up. They were not sure what to believe, what to do, nor where to go. Under such circumstances, the messag e of  peace from Jesus must have seemed extremely appropriate and especially soothing. It was like healing balm poured into an open wound. It calmed the nerves, comforted the bewildered, and brought into sharp focus the message of His glorious resurrection. It brought new hope!

The message of  peace is just as important and relevant
today as it was at the time of the first Easter and Jesus' resurrection. As we hear the words of Jesus, "Peace be with you," our nerves too are calmed. In the midst of our bewildering circumstances, we receive comfort and strength to carry on ministry and life. It focuses on the importance of His resurrection: the forgiveness of sin, life eternal, and empowerment to go and do all the things Jesus has called us to do.

Jesus shared with His disciples some very important  instructions in that first meeting which are equally important to us, His followers, today:

1. They witnessed resurrection power by seeing Jesus' hands and side. He had indeed risen!  And Jesus' Resurrection Power was about to be imparted to His disciples!
2.  He renewed his call to the disciples: "As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you." This is confirmation of their call (and our call) "to make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:18-20)
3.  Jesus knew that in order to carry out the Great Commission, the disciples needed divine power. So His next step was to do an impartation of divine and supernatural empowerment"Then he breathed on them and said,  '
Receive the Holy Spirit.'"
Jesus gave the disciples divine power  (authority had been given earlier) through the Holy Spirit to fulfill all of God's redemptive plans and purposes!
4.  What are they supposed to do? Proclaim and live out the message of salvation in Jesus Christ - the message of forgiveness of sins. Take it to the ends of the earth!

"Peace be with you" was the message the disciples needed to hear. Because "... the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7 NIV).

Gratitude and Appreciation

We are praising God for bringing PWI completely out of debt as of December 31, 2016. Glory to God! It was difficult to work on debt reduction during a financially challenging time. But nothing is impossible with God!   2017 has been a "breakthrough year" so far; and much more to come!

PWI, the Board of Directors, and staff want to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all of you , our prayer and ministry partners throughout the world. Without your prayers, volunteering, and faithful support, it would be very difficult to carry on and carry out the Vision of Prayer God has given to the body of Christ through PWI. God bless you abundantly for your perseverance in intercession, invaluable ministry service, and generous financial support. Please continue to remember PWI during 2017. Your devotion and dedication to prayer and the ministry of prayer continues to make a significant and abiding impact around the world! Shalom, beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Lord, shower Your Resurrection Power over all of PWI's faithful prayer and mission partners worldwide in Jesus' Almighty and Everlasting Name. Amen!

Overwhelmed by God's Love, Grace and Faithfulness,
