January 2014

Happy New Year! We are excited to share our new re-vamped PWM Newsletter with all of you. The PWM letter will focus on the more personal side of what happens here in the office. (Unlike the Investment Team Newsletter) We will share with you who is coming and going as well as thoughts and ideas that we think will enhanse your client experience. We will even try a video link in the next issue for the "get to know your team" section.
Click below and like us on Facebook to follow our most recent updates.
We welcome any feedback and look forward to connecting with all of you!

 Get to Know Your Team

Well, here we all are...almost
We have amassed quite the team. Between growth and relocations things have changed around the office.
We will attempt to give you a brief rundown in this issue and then feature each individual in the coming months. I'm even trying to get a video link.
In the picture from left to right is Bryan Sherwood, Joe Altic, Tripp Gebhard, Colleen Chance, Andy Ruzicka and Daniel Hammerman. Not pictured is Maureen Acosta and Jon Peckron. That is because they are our newest members.
Maureen is here Wednesday through Friday. You may get a confirmation call from her, she may greet you at the front desk and she even helps with all the paperwork in the back. She can do a little of everything. We are grateful for her willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Jon has been with us since October. He is basically Andy's shadow right now. You may get to meet him sitting in on your review or if you call in with a question. His role now is to support Andy and take in everything he can about the way things run at PWM. If any of you know how busy Andy is, Jon is certainly a welcome addition.
Now you know who our team is made up of and whose on the other end of the phone. We look forward to sharing a little more about each of us in the coming months.

"Not all of our divorce referrals ultimately end in divorce. We frequently find that with proper financial counseling through budgeting and goal creation our clients often find their marriages were not as broken as they once thought they were, they simply needed guidance."

~Tripp Gebhard

Tripp Gebhard Completes CDFA

PWM~
Begins New Service for Divorcing Couples in St. Louis

PWM's Tripp Gebhard has obtained a specialized designation as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst ™ to assist high net worth couples with the financial ramifications of a legal settlement. Tripp holds a certification from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts ™ (IDFA).
A CDFA™ works with clients individually or as couples, helping them to come to grips with the financial reality of their individual divorce situation. Developing comprehensive insight of the short and long-term financial effects of divorce can save valuable time, money and distress, especially if the process is conducted early in the legal proceedings.
"At PWM, we work very intimately with our clients on their multigenerational planning," says Gebhard. "Divorce is one of those major events that greatly alter the lives of all those involved. After guiding several clients through the divorce process, we felt it was important for our clients, as well as our attorney, CPA and therapist relationships for us to gain the expertise."
"Misinformation and misconceptions about the divorce process can be detrimental," says Gebhard. "Many have false expectations that they will be able to secure a divorce settlement allowing them to continue with their accustomed style of living. That's not always possible. PWM is there to pursue a good, stable economic future and prevent long-term regret with all financial decisions made during the divorce process."

We examine and analyze the financial issues of divorce, providing our clients

and their lawyers with data to help determine the short-term and long-term

financial impact to make sure it works now

as well as down the road.

Our next issue will cover the new PWM University and a look at Daniel Hammerman. Who is he, what does he like (bagels and spaghetti)  and just what does he do here?
Andy will talk Webinars ,Yodalee and maybe a word about his new dog.
We will also launch a contest! Because who doesn't like a contest? Prizes include a round of golf for 4 at Fox Run or a $400  gift card to Annie Gunns.
Until then stay warm and thank you for sharing your time with us!

Sincerely,

 The PWM Team
