Paddle, Splash & Play 
A Free Kids' Event 

Saturday, August 6th
10 am - 2 pm
Nine Mile Recreation Area 
 
WHERE:  Nine Mile Recreation Area, 11226 W. Charles Road, Nine Mile Falls WA.  Click here for map. 
 
WHY:  To try out the wonderful world of paddling on some of the great water we have around Spokane.
 
WHAT TO BRING:  A life jacket (also called a PFD - personal flotation device), if you have one. This will help get you onto the water sooner.
 
A WA State Discover Pass is required, available on site.
 
WHAT IS PROVIDED:
Lots of equipment - canoes, sea kayaks, whitewater kayaks,
inflatable kayaks, recreational kayaks and stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) - plus PFDs. Experienced paddlers will be there to help you get started.
 
COST:  It's free!
 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
250 new paddlers are anticipated this year. Volunteers are needed to assist with waivers, PFD fitting, basic paddling instruction and on-water safety. Click here to email Stan Mrzygod.
