REVIEWERS PRAISE PAGLIACCI

THE DETROIT NEWS
"The make-or-break moment for Canio is his grievous aria 'Vesti la giubba' — 'Put on your costume,' the anguished actor's lament that he no longer knows whether he's a man or just a clown. Palombi delivered this iconic monologue with a vocal grandeur that conveyed the full measure of its pain and despair."

DETROIT THEATER EXAMINER
"Brilliant Italian tenor Antonello Palombi does the honors as Canio (May 12, 16, 19) and his performance of the big aria is effortless and emotional without seeming affected. His sorrow is edged with passion, and this passion comes through as the demand of a heartbroken lover to be treated as a man, not a clown."
