The expression "things are looking up" is normally used to indicate that a troubling situation is improving and the weight of the world is lifting from your shoulders. However, in the case of the issue explained in this week's video, looking up may be precisely what is at the root of your bothersome neck and shoulder pain. Excessive cervical lordosis is a common imbalance that accompanies a forward head position. The name may sound ominous, but it simply means that there is too much arch in the neck resulting from trying to keep the head up and aligned. Excessive cervical lordosis can be a major contributor to neck, shoulder, and upper back pain. Check out the video on our T&T page to learn more about this imbalance, how to see if you or your clients have it, and what you can do to correct it.
