Henry had a big adventure a few days ago. He likes to explore in the morning after we get up. He sniffs around the yard while I read my smart phone email on my front porch. Suddenly I heard an odd sounding animal behind me. I turned around just in time to see Henry in hot pursuit of a wild turkey. The turkey was squealing in terror and Henry's little legs were going as fast as he could run. The bird won the race by taking off in flight. With Henry, life is a laugh every day.

Avocado Tomato Salad
5 tomatoes, quartered
2 avocados, peeled, pitted, chopped in bite size pieces
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
juice of one lemon
1/3 cup red onion, sliced
1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted light brown in the oven
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
Italian Salad Dressing (optional)
Place tomatoes, onion and avocado in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil. Add lemon juice and salt. Mix well.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Remove from refrigerator and transfer to individual serving salad bowls. Cover top with pine nuts and Parmesan cheese and salad dressing if desired.

"The Mob"
Thornebrook Gallery, September 9th, 6:00pm-9:00pm.
The opening of "The Mob", a showing of thirty of the phenomenally talented painters in our area. Each artist will bring in one piece to display for the five day show. Live music will be performed for the opening by Eric Diamond. A closing party will also be held on Wednesday September 14th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. with live music by Cathy DeWitt. Refreshments will be served.
