I'd love to have a boat to ride along Florida rivers whenever I want to. They are ever changing with lovely palm hammocks and estuaries. I often see river otters, alligators, turtles, many species of birds and water snakes. It is always an education to visit these beautiful places.

It's time for another contest!! Send me a tip of the day and I'll post them. I'll put your name in the pot and you will win any painting from my browse bins at the loft studio. If you live out of town, I'll send you a nice 5x7 painting if you win.

Tip of the Day  -

Write a list before you go shopping - and stick to it. One should never go into a store without a strong idea of what one will be buying while in there. Make a careful plan of what you'll buy before you go, then stick strictly to that list when you go to the store. Don't put anything in the cart that's not on the list, no matter how tempting, and you'll come out of the store saving a bundle. -From www.thesimpledollar.com

Today's Recipe

I love getting recipes from my readers. Please send them to me at lindablondheim@gmail.com

I created a pretty good recipe last night.

I microed a  butternut squash for 10 minutes.

After it cooled, I split it in half lengthwise and cleaned out seed cavity. Set aside.

I diced three uncooked center cut pork chops, trimming off the fat.

I chopped one small onion and cut 10 grape tomatoes in half.

I sauted the pork and vegetables and added 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce. I filled the 2 halves of the cleaned butternut squash with the pork vegetable mixture. I placed in a deep baking pan and added a little water for steaming.  I covered with foil and roasted for one hour at 350.

I removed foil and covered with cheese and baked another five minutes.

Serves two.
