I just got back last night from the Economic Development Commission’s trip to Washington D.C. Three Chamber Presidents attended along with other business leaders concerned about business regulations and reforms that Congress and the Senate have proposed. This three-day trip was an opportunity to meet with various agencies and representatives to share the concerns of the business community of Brevard County, including the space program and the Indian River Lagoon. The Chamber is here to voice the needs of our members to those making the laws.
Join us for our 9th annual Mayors Breakfast on Friday, May 19th at the Crowne Plaza from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Sixteen Mayors from the cities and towns in Brevard County will give an update on the development in their respective municipalities. This is a unique event and great networking opportunity to speak with Mayors from throughout Brevard County and Sebastian. See below for more details.
Finally, I went on the Indus travel trip to S. Africa for an 11-day adventure. It was a fabulous trip and one we are offering to the community. You do not need to be a Chamber member to participate. The trip is September 20, 2017 for 11 days with a cost of $2,990 including airfare from Orlando. We are also sponsoring an 8-day trip to Peru with a stop in Machu Picchu on February 9, 2018 for $2,190 including airfare from Orlando.
