We recently invited first and second-year finalists to join us for a workshop at Palm Beach Atlantic University, featuring a stellar lineup of speakers.

The day kicked off with a presentation by
Takeata King Pang, a Public Affairs and Communications Consultant. She shared tips on resume building, creating effective and poignant messaging, and public speaking.
CBS 12 Anchor Suzanne Boyd talked with students about the importance of building a strong personal brand. She reminded students that “social media is a marathon, not a sprint.” She emphasized consistency, engagement, and content that makes audiences care.
Evelyn Flores, a financial advisor at Edward Jones, rounded out the workshop with some sound advice on money management. During her interactive discussion, she taught students how to structure their budget plans, spend wisely, and plan for unforeseen challenges that lie ahead.

A heartfelt thanks to Takeata, Suzanne and Evelyn for taking the time to speak with our PBPT finalists and sharing their valuable insight! Leaders like them allow our student-finalists to grow and learn during this mentorship period.
At last month’s workshop, we also had the pleasure of welcoming the newest members of team
Certified from John l. Leonard High School:
Isabel Delgado, Christian Diaz, Malik Haynes and Gabriela Carrazana.
Each and every student is doing an outstanding job and we look forward to watching their progress.

Princesses Against Cancer recently brought their mission to Palm Beach Children’s Hospital and provided entertainment for a princess and pirate-themed event.
Princesses Lizzy, Lauryn, Rachel, Natalie and Bianca also visited the hospital rooms of patients unable to attend the party, bringing a little bit of extra magic to those going through tough times.
Lisa Barron, the hospital’s Child Life Supervisor, praised the group by saying, “Sometimes it can be a challenge to spend time with children with IV poles and in wheelchairs but you all were excellent volunteers with our kids.”
Keep up the great work Princesses!
