What a great day at Palm Harbor Golf Club in Palm Coast, Florida this past Sunday. It was a fantastic way to start out THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP week.
Forty-eight eager junior tour players hit the links for the inaugural “
Palm Harbor Open”. The course (voted the best in Flagler County) is another one of those great golf courses which is fun to play and easy to navigate with greens and tee boxes in close proximity. Ideal for junior golf competition. The golf course was a great test of golf and was in fabulous condition with greens on the slower side, but any accomplished golfer could adjust with ease. Speed of greens are always one of the elements players have to consider when playing any course. Being able to figure them out and adjust accordingly is a huge advantage over the field.
Many thanks to Head Professional Tim Spangler for hooking this one up for us. Rest assured the Palm Harbor Open will carry forward, only to get BIGGER and BETTER! By the way, if you ever looking for a great meal, this is the place to go. The food was awesome!
See you on the Links!
