Dr. Franklin Mason Issues Challenge

Dr. Franklin G. Mason, namesake of this prestigious award, was also thrilled about the number of new individual Franklin Mason Fellows received during the soon to be completed Lions Year.  To continue this momentum into Lions Year 2014 - 2015, Dr. Mason has pledged that, if SCLF receives a minimum of ten (10) individual Franklin Mason Fellows at $1,000 each (no club donations) between now and December 31, 2014, that he will match these gifts up to $10,000.Read Complete Article

2015 Annual Giving Campaign

Lots of good things are happening, as we kick of this new Lions Year.  We have moved the start of the Sustaining Member campaign from October to July this year.  We found that many clubs were doing their club fundraising during that month.  We've also been fortunate to see the growth of World Sight Day activities in Charleston on October 7th and Columbia on October 9th, 2014, so moving the Sustaining Member kick-off to July helps to relieve this congestion.

International President Joe Preston has an "Ask 1" campaign going this year.  Good stuff, but I would like to carry that one step forward in 32A this year.  Let's do "Ask 1 a Month".  I am not saying that each of you will sponsor 12 new members this year.  But just ask.  Read Complete Article

Let's Strengthen Our Pride Thru Education and Communication
District 32-D Articles
As we begin our second month of the year, we would like to help broaden your understanding of our 2014-2015 International Theme: Strengthen the Pride. The theme is centered on bringing our Lion's family closer together and based on what we have observed in our District, the theme is very timely. Last year IPDG Lion Catherine asked us to focus on working in "Harmony" and this year's International theme takes that focus even further in building the "Pride" not only in size, but also in the spirit of what we do as Lions in our communities and across the state.
