See inside the rehabilitated Aurora St. Charles Senior Living, recipient of a 2017 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award.
The six-story, Art Deco building, constructed in 1923 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been renovated and transformed into a 60-unit, affordable senior housing complex.
As part of the Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award Program, a panel of professionals who were project winners will talk about their experiences rehabilitating and reusing historic properties. The
discussion
will focus on the planning
and
financing of creative building conversions.
The event also includes a tour of Aurora
St. Charles Senior Living and a
reception.
