Panim Hadashot- New Faces
A Message from Rabbi Dov Gartenberg
Dear Friend of Panim Hadashot-New Faces,

As you can see below, we at Panim Hadashot-New Faces will be busy.  We hope you will find at least one of the events, courses, and gatherings of interest to you.   Our primary focus is our Shabbat Hosting Partnerships.  Please consider becoming one of our hosting partners over the coming year.  We are confident that you will value greatly the Shabbat experience we would share with you.

Please also consider an end of year donation to support our work and our unique approach to invigorating Jewish life through the revitalization of Jewish Hospitality practice.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Rabbi Gartenberg's Sessions at the Community Torahthon,
Saturday Even,  12/10/16  at Congregation Herzl-Ner Tamid

6:50-7:50: During this past Yom Kippur I did a "talking fast" to intensify the spirituality of the day. During the day as I chanted the prayers I tried to directly confront my ambivalence about some of the prayers by reading modern Hebrew poetry that deals with God and Prayer. I will share my struggles and insights and hope you will too

9:20-10:20pm   In July, the brilliant evolutionary historian, Yuval Harari, penned an article claiming that Judaism was not a major player in the history of mankind. I will explore and criticize some of the ideas of that article, but will also explore our deepest notions about the relevance of Judaism in our lives and in our times.
Check out and Register for the  Torahthon.
