Classic Car & Music Show Planned by Friends of Jefferson Park on August 8

Calling all vintage car lovers!
Many people in West Park had a hand in building cars throughout the decades, thanks to the neighborhood's  proximity to the automobile plants. Rock Around the Park, sponsored by Bellaire-Puritas Development Corporation and Ward 16 Councilman Brian Kazy, is a way to appreciate the skills that made the vehicles "back then" and gives the proud owners of restored classic cars an opportunity to show them off at Jefferson Park, at the corner of West 132nd Street and Lorain Avenue.

Do you own a classic car or know someone who does? All are invited to exhibit at the park and compete for trophies for the top three winning cars at the event, taking place on Saturday, August 8, from noon to 5 p.m. Dash plaques will be available to those who enter early to show off their rides. Exhibit entry is $10 in advance and $15 at the show.

To enter, call Rachael at 330-635-8047 or email [email protected]

Local food trucks will offer nourishment for hungry visitors. Stop by Barrio Taco Truck and Willbeck's BBQ to get your snack on. E-Z Lovin Band will play music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's to bring back the soundtracks from "back in the day" when these cars ruled the road. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park will present, "A Blast from the Past." Crafts for the kids will be available along with community organization and vendor tables.
