Preorder the 'After Laughter' CD at Grimey's now for your wristband guaranteeing you entry to the signing on Friday, May 12th, at 4PM. Paramore will meet fans and sign copies of their new CD at Grimey's Too. Only those with wristband will be able to go through the signing line. Please note, the band will only sign copies of 'After Laughter'. Space is limited so don't delay. You must preorder your CD in person at Grimey's beginning today. Starting Monday, May 8th, at 11AM we will take orders over the phone (615-254-4801). Paramore began their whole journey in the Nashville area and we'd like to make sure as many local fans get in on this exclusive opportunity as possible. The word on 'After Laughter' is that Paramore continue their shift away from the pop-punk sound that characterized their earlier releases for more expansive musical textures and funkier rhythms, influenced by the likes of Talking Heads or St Vincent. The band's Taylor York explains to the
New York Times: "We've gotten to a point with our new music where we don't really want to headbang anymore." He also said his guitar tone is inspired by Afrobeat and what the Times called "other international sounds." The band "can do whatever we want and then when Hayley gets on it, that's what makes it Paramore," York said.
