Bereshith 10:1
 
A person must toil in his efforts to ensure that his physical being serves G-d. On the other hand, when praying to G-d, there should be no physical interference, meaning, that all his service to G-d during prayer, should be the intention (Kavanah) of his heart. Unfortunately, all too often, the physical side of a person is preoccupied and wrapped up in the desires of this world and his heart and mind are confused and unable to function clearly.

It says in 'Od Yosef Hai, that in order to counteract this, he has to make a great effort, with all kinds of movements in his body, when he stands to pray, in order to chase away all the foreign thoughts. Such a person, even if he succeeds in praying with the proper intent, is not considered completely righteous ( צדיק - Tzadik). The reason is that his great movements demonstrate that he is immersed in the emptiness of this world and far from holiness (Kedusha).

On the other hand, there are those who can stand to pray with complete concentration and do not need to make movements to assist them, because their hearts are devoid of any foreign thoughts. One who is able to do this is called completely righteous - Tzadik Shalem ( צדיק שלם ).

Did you know that there is a hierarchy to the concept of Tzadik - a Righteous Person?
 
Does the Torah recommend that a Tzadik consider themselves Rignteous?
 
To Whom does HaShem "appear" - Vaera? 

Only Tzadikim? Also Regular People? Negative People?
 
What are the hierarchy levels of Tzadikim called?




Shabbat Vayera:

Vaera translates as "appeared". This is due to the leading Vav changing the tense of the verb "to see". Actually the verb is saying "will appear".
 
This parasha always is read during the month of Mar Cheshvan - Bitter Cheshvan. HaShem is merciful so why would The Torah give us the energy of Certainty during Mar Cheshvan? Only as an antidote to the energy of the negative energy of Cheshvan which is related to the energy of the Mabul or flood.
 
The energy of this parasha relates to the energy of Rosh HaShanah since there are 2 anomalies in the parasha - read about the anomalies in the link above. Also there are sections in this parasha that are read on Rosh HaShana. So what is the energy of Rosha HaShana? If you are a
typical student of Judaism then your answer would be judgment. To accept that perception ignores the energy of Tishrai which is balance as well as the teaching that the ten days of Awe relate to building the vessel - the desire to receive of each human being. 
 
The energy of balance requires the energy of certainty to be able "to see" the truth within the illusion of the physical world and that is why HaShem gave us again this energy of certainty as an antidote to the negative energy of Cheshvan and another opportunity to change your desire to receive that developed during the days of awe to be more in sync with energy of the year 5778.
 
How does one attain a greater amount of certainty? Certainty comes from knowledge. When you know that HaShem is merciful then you can act with certainty "to see" that both people in a disagreement are correct. 
 
Remember the Torah and Kabbalah teaches us that to be "right" one must have 4 steps of being right. Be in the right place at the right time with the right action and the right intention or Kavenah.

H ermany e is the first verse of parasha Vaera:
וירא אליו יהוה באלני ממרא והוא ישב פתח-האהל כחם היום
And HaShem appeared unto him by the terebinths of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
Vayera Alav HaShem BeElanai Mamrai Wehu Yashev Patach HaOhel Kechaim Hayom.
 
The Zohar explains many codewords which are in this Verse - Some of these are:

Terebinths of Mamre - refers to Jacob - which is the Sefira of Tiferet which is Mercy.
The Tent Door - refers to the Tent of Meeting which is a reference to the Third Temple.
The Day always refers to the final day of justice associated with Mashiach.
 
The number of words is 11 - 11 refers to the 11 components of the Ketoret which is a tool to get closer to HaShem. Also it refers to the 11 verses in the Tanach that are a "protection from evil eye".
 
Shiluv Tool: First Letters
This is my intuitive connection. You need to do this for yourself as well.
 
ֻואיבמויפהכה ־ וההי יבם - כפו א
יבם = "see design within disorder"
כפו = "His Hand"
וההי = Permutation of HaShem's Name associated with Cheshvan
א = Energy of unification

In my opinion: During Cheshvan we can "see unity" within the as the design within the disorder.
 
Shiluv Tool:  Final Letters  
This is my intuitive connection. You need to do this for yourself as well.
 
אוהי אאבחלםם - Gematria of these letters equals 144. 144 is the gematria of the Hebrew word that translates as "ancient of days". This word also translates as the Primordial heavens. This number also is equal to the phrase Yad Anee - יד עני - "Hand of the poor person".

Week of Vayera:
 
This is the Second week of the month of Cheshvan. The Second week of every month is about  implementing of the plans that we made during the first week. The energy of Mar Cheshvan is bitter - with planning the word bitter can be changes to "elevated".
 
What to know how to make these plans?
 
Tuesday is All Hallow's Eve. In Judaism it is just another day. Yet it is a high energy day for many people. 

The consciousness of a person impacts the energy of a particular day and when there are many people uniting in their consciousness it is usually used by the negative system to initiate and reinforce negative consciousness.

How does one protect themselves? By understanding what the consciousness of the negative system is reinforcing.

On Halloween the that consciousness is about tricking people or feeding the sweet tooth' s of people. 

A good shield against that is a walk in the gardens of the world to appreciate the beauty of the natural world that HaShem created.

All 72 Names of God and 72 Names from the Tzadikim are a unified whole.
Yet people relate the Names to different months, Days of the month and many other relationships.

Why Study Zohar?

Here are quotes from famous Kabbalists:

WITHOUT THE STUDY OF THE ZOHAR, THE PNIMIUT HA TORAH, THE REST OF OUR STUDY WILL BECOME A POTION OF DEATH, G-D FORBID

Behold [the expression] 'the Tree of Life' refers to Pnimiut HaTorah, the inner dimension of the Torah, as stated in [the passage from] the Raya Mehemna, Parshas Naso, [cited above]: 'Since in the future, the Jews will taste the Tree of Life which is the Sefer Ha Zohar, Tanya, Iggeres HaKodesh', explains that the term 'the Tree of Life' refers to 'the inner dimensions of the Torah and its mitzvos.'
To explain: The Written Law is referred to as 'the Tree of Life' because it does not enclothe itself in material garments to the same degree [as does the Oral Law]. (For [the Written Law emanates] from Zaer Anpin.) And in [the Written Law], G-dly light can be sensed.
Similarly, Pnimiyus HaTorah has not enclothed itself in material garments, for instead, it speaks of spiritual matters including the chainlike progression of spiritual existence and G-dly subjects. Moreover, the conceptualization and the comprehension of these matters is spiritual and in [this type of thought], the G-dly light can be felt.
Its entire intent is to know G-d and to come to love and fear Him, as the Shaloh writes in his Masechta Shavuos, p. 183b ,269 with regard to the study of Torah lishmah:
The words of Torah that involve research, knowledge, and comprehension [of G-d Himself should be studied in order to know His name and His greatness, and the hidden secrets of His mitzvos. Then the person's heart will be roused to fear Him and to love Him.

THE STUDY OF THE ZOHAR HA KADDOSH IN OUR TIMES IS VERY NECESSARY TO PROTECT AND SAVE US FROM ALL EVIL

The study of the Zohar ha Kaddosh in our times is very necessary to protect and save us from all evil. For the revelation of this wisdom in our times, helps to purify and protect us greatly so that we will be able to cling with a complete heart to our Father in Heaven.
For the people of prior generations were Tzaddikim and Chassidim and people of great deeds, and thus were saved from the accusers, but now we are far removed from our source, and what will protect us if not our reading this Wisdom?

ONE HOUR OF THE STUDY OF ZOHAR IS THE EQUIVALENT OF THIRTY DAYS OF THE STUDY OF THE PLAIN MEANING OF TORAH

Our Holy Master Rabbi Chayim Vital, may his merit shield us, in the introduction to the book Etz Chayim, warned the students of the Torah, those who listen to the Word of G-d, the great obligation they have to study the hidden Torah [Kabbalah], and the great punishment for neglecting its study, because one hour of this study does the same as thirty days of the study of Pshat (plain meaning of the Torah)  (Kise Melech on Tikune Zohar 30, 73b)
THEY CAUSE THE TORAH TO BE DESERTED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT OCCUPY THEMSELVES WITH THE WISDOM OF THE KABBALAH
"And all his kindness is like the grass of the field" (Yeshayahu 40:6) All the kindness that they do, they do only for themselves. And even all those that occupy themselves in the Torah, all the kindness that they do, they do for themselves...Woe to those who cause him [The Mashiach] to leave from the world and don't come, and they are those who cause the Torah to be deserted and do not wish to occupy themselves with the Wisdom of the Kabbalah, for they cause the spring of wisdom to depart which is the YUD, and the BEIT is left on its own (Dried up). Woe to those that they cause poverty, sword, death and destruction... 
Tikkune Zohar Tikkun 30
chanoch adds: The Yud mentioned above is HaShem who conceals himself when the Kabbalah is not studied. The Beit mentioned above is referring to the Torah itself as the first letter is the Beit. This comment is to help you understand this section.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO STUDY THE ZOHAR HA KADDOSH

"From the year 1540 onward, it is most important that all study the Kabbalah in public and preoccupy themselves with the study of Kabbalah. PESHAT REMEZ DERASH SOD [PARDES- Simple meaning, allusion, Homiletical level, and the secrets of the Torah] he is missing the Mitzvah of Talmud Torah which is great and is equivalent to all other Mitzvot in the Torah, and this person has to reincarnate until he will occupy himself with the four levels PARDES.

You may have heard me say that when reading the Zohar in Hebrew or Aramaic that I do not understand - I realize that I made a mistake in pronunciation. When I go back and correct that mistake I make a Tikkun - a correction. This is because making a mistake is caused by our Tikkun which causes a blockage. When I go back and pronounce the words properly I make this correction and break that specific Klipah.
 
"He who studies the Zohar, even when he doesn't understand what comes out of his mouth, Ha Kaddosh Baruch Hu rectifies his words..."
