Almost Here: Spring Break
Greetings Fellow Parents!
It's hard to believe it's almost time for Spring Break ... but it is. Whether your child is planning to hang out at home with family or friends, go on a cultural or missions-focused trip with the Tri-S program, work many hours to make extra money, or head out on travels with their friends, they will undoubtedly gain experience and learn new life lessons. Every event and encounter we experience makes us who we are. The more we experience, the more our perspective is challenged.
In an earlier AU Parent Connection, I shared information with you about Campus Ministries and the many ways our students are involved in our community and in our world. Occasionally, I hear about other ways in which our students give back to our community and invest in the lives of others. The AU Men's Baseball Team is currently making an impact in our community with a local reading program for some third-graders. Read here about how these young men are making a difference in the lives of children.
As I become aware of other instances of our students giving back in meaningful ways, I'll pass those along to you, too. Encourage your child to live a rich, full life packed with varied people and experiences. And ... more importantly, encourage your child to invest in the lives of others along life's path. Blessings to all parents who love their children.
