HEALTH TIP
"Children & Parents can wash their hands upon arrival and before leaving the child care program. This will keep home germs at home and center germs at the center."
"STAYING HEALTHY" CAMPAIGN

Last month we kicked off our "Staying Healthy" campaign. Families and child care providers play a key role in supporting the development of healthy habits for young children. Children's habits become more consistent when the daily routines at home are similar to those practiced at the child care program. Talking to providers about the importance of washing hands can keep everyone healthy!

HANDWASHING SUPPORT AND RESOURCES

How do we prevent illnesses at home and in our child care programs?

Handwashing, Handwashing, Handwashing!!

What are you doing at home to actively promote handwashing? Washing hands frequently can make a difference in the health of children and staff, as well as reduce absences. Handwashing is one of the most important steps in preventing the spread of germs.

Talk to your provider about what she does in the child care program. You can use the activities below to have fun with your child at home with teaching handwashing practicies.
