It's Day 3 of our member drive.

Our members say that Teachers Unite keeps them motivated to stay in the classroom.

It is vital that we support them to continue.

Your donation or membership dues will:

* Ensure that 10 NYC schools hire Restorative Justice Coordinators through our Pilot School Campaign targeting the DOE

* Increase the number of TU workshops that train NYC educators to use and promote restorative practices

* Send our members to Washington DC to share their stories and support student testimony to get cops and guns out of U.S. schools

Together we can transform the popular idea of what it means to be a teacher. Please join us

What's Your Story?

Michelle Reyes

Michelle (center) leading circle discussion at a community screening of Growing Fairness at the Bronx Museum of the Arts
My name is Michelle Reyes, and I am a member of the New Settlement Apartments Parent Action Committee (PAC) in the Bronx, New York. I began participating with Teachers Unite two years ago while
pushing to reduce the number of arrests, summonses and suspensions in public schools and implement positive interventions and supports.

Every time we, New Settlement Apartments Parent Action Committee, had an action, Teachers Unite was there. A member was there to support the movement. I believe that if the "teachers" are will to take the time and go the extra mile to bring change then we must support them. They come in contact with our children first and together teachers, students, parents and all stakeholders can bring about change.

Teachers Unite is an organization in which

teachers come together to discuss the issues they face in their schools and how to develop solutions that create a collaborated environment in schools which will reduce the number of arrest, summonses and suspensions and empower their students to make better decisions.

Teachers Unite is an organization that everyone who has a stake in schools should be a part of. The members are dedicated to the cause and values everyone's input.

Please donate to Teachers Unite
Your generous support of Teachers Unite sends a message of encouragement to educators who take
action to end school pushout and racial injustice.

Our members are not only speaking out, they are acting out!

  • They help schools organize Restorative Justice Teams.

  • They collaborate with youth organizations to change the city's School Discipline Code.

  • They produce media and resources that envision a humanistic approach to student discipline.

  • They transform their own school cultures and advocate to the DOE and UFT for help with doing so.

We have to show parents and young people that teachers are opposed to social and economic injustice.  Please click here to donate today. Thank you for your support!
