59th Convention of the District - Nominations Deadline September 30
September 30, 2017, is the deadline for all nominations and overtures.

September 30, 2017 is the date requested for all delegate selections to be completed.
The convention is Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, 2018, at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest.

40 Days for Life

As life-affirming Lutherans, witnessing within our community is one way we can make a positive difference in the lives of preborn children, their mothers and fathers.
September 27 through November 5, 40 Days for Life, a globally-coordinated movement of prayer to end abortion, will take place outside of abortion facilities. There are five 40 Days for Life locations in the Northern Illinois District, including Aurora, Chicago, Downers Grove, Orland Park, and Ottawa. Tuesday and Wednesday, October 10-11, 2017; Lake Lawn Resort, 2400 E. Geneva Street, Delavan, Wisconsin.
South Region:
Monday-Wednesday, September 25-27, 2017; Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center, Utica, Illinois.

150th Anniversary Celebration
Join St. John Lutheran Church, 305 Circle Avenue, Forest Park, on Sunday, October 1, to celebrate their 150th Anniversary. Celebration Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. with reception following service.

Special offer for Pastors - Lutherans For Life Regional Conference
The LFL Illinois State Federation has offered to pay for any Illinois pastor who would like to attend the conference Hope for Life in Pekin, Illinois, $50 registration fee. Use this link to register.

Joint Reformation Worship Service
A special Joint Reformation Worship Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, 6850 W 159th Street, Tinley Park, September 24 at 3 p.m.

Christ our Savior Lutheran Church, 0S501 Summit Drive, Winfield, is in need of someone to help October through December for their Sunday worship services. An organist would be preferred but would accept a pianist. Email Tom Jones, Elder, if interested.
