We hope you enjoyed Behm Park!
|
Behm Park is closing on Friday, November 18. We need to get the pickle ball nets and wind screens down, close up the restrooms and have our staff ready to plow snow. The park was busy everyday this year with the football, baseball, soccer, pickle ball players, walkers and families using the playground.
The Fremont Township board has ordered two shade structures that will be installed next year and a generation swing for the playground.

|
With the snow season approaching, Fremont Township Highway Commissioner Bill Grinnell is reminding you to avoid parking on the street during snow events to allow the plows to get through.
Fremont Township maintains over 40 miles of road including the roads in Countryside Lake, Fremont Manor, Sylvan Lake, West Shore Park, Oak Terrace, Barnswallow, Pond Shore, Summerhill Estates, Ivanhoe Road, Erhart Road, Chardon Road, Milton Road, The Woods of Ivanhoe and more!

Hawley Street is complete, and the Jewel and Rosati's are now open. Please remember to shop local and support your local businesses. We were all impacted by the closures and don't want to see any of our businesses leave. If we all make a concerted effort to shop in our area whenever possible, our community will continue to prosper.

At the grand opening of the new Jewel, the Fremont Township Food Pantry received a $2500 donation. Jewel has also been collecting donations for Thanksgiving dinners and those dinner donations are going directly to Fremont Township residents in need. Elly's again this year is donating 30 turkeys to our pantry which will be delivered in time for Thanksgiving.
With the sale of Kirk of the Lakes Church, the food pantry was selected by the parishioners to receive a $20,000 donation. We are thankful for these generous donations.
Our community organizations, churches and residents have been dropping off donations for our food pantry and Thanksgiving dinners. We appreciate our community and their concern for neighbors in need. If you are aware of Fremont Township residents in need, please have them call our office at 847 223-2847.
