49 Years and One to "Grow On!"

McQuillan says: "I made new friends and I love Park Maitland School!"

Skyler says: "Park Maitland helps me shine in Tinkering Lab."

Riley N. says: "I read better at Park Maitland."

Chloe says: "I am awesome at Math! I am also great at making friends!"

Dear Parents,

Our entire Park Maitland family gathered on December 4th to celebrate the birthday of our founder, Nell Cohen, and also the 49th birthday of Park Maitland School! Children from all grades shared thoughts on "how Park Maitland School has made their life brighter” as they lit a candle. After 49 candles were lit, and then one to grow on, “Happy Birthday” was sung, followed by the coveted Park Maitland Alma Mater.

Mary Margaret Bowen, Liz Smith, and Carolyn Fritch (Nell Cohen’s daughters) were given gifts of crystal angels and beautiful plants as students thanked them for "giving us roots and giving us wings..." We all give our utmost appreciation, undying love, and gratitude to these incredible women for carrying on their mother's amazing legacy in the past and giving us the greatest gift of all -- the gift of Park Maitland School for now and for many years to come!

As we approach our 50th year anniversary, I anticipate many more wonderful things to come. I thank our incredible and talented administration, teachers, and staff for creating such a magical place to learn and grow! I thank Nobel Learning Communities for trusting in our school, and most importantly, for pledging to honor the unique and special qualities and rich traditions that make our school such a very special place in which to learn and grow! The legacy lives on, and I could not be more excited about the great things that lie ahead!

Thank you for your support and love in our beautiful school!

Warmly,

Cindy Moon
