Parkinson Association Exercise Updates 
We can't get enough of our exercise classes and we know the community can't either! That's why we're adding even more classes. Keep your eyes peeled for additional classes in the works. 

New Day and Time for Denver Yoga 
Thursdays |  12:30 - 1:30pm
Our Denver Yoga class has moved from Mondays at 1:45pm to Thursday's at 12:30pm. The class will still be held at The Center for Integrative Medicine,  University of Colorado Hospital,  3055 Roslyn St., Suite 250, Denver

Littleton Yoga Has Moved

The Littleton Yoga class at Littleton YMCA has moved to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton, 1001 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton

Join us for the 3rd Annual Ski for Parkinson's - a premier Classic Ski & Snowshoe event to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, as well as critical funding to directly support those living with Parkinson's in the Yampa Valley communities.

Drooling Clinical Research Study 
Do you or someone you care for suffer from troublesome drooling?
 
The University of Colorado Denver is looking for people who suffer from troublesome drooling to volunteer for a clinical research study to evaluate an investigational product for Sialorrhea (troublesome drooling).
 
You may qualify if you:
  • Have a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, adult cerebral palsy, ALS, stroke, traumatic brain injury, oral cancer, or side effect of medication, or any other condition that causes Sialorrhea or troublesome drooling
  • Are between the ages of 18 and 85 years old  
  • Have not received botulinum toxin treatment to the salivary glands within 6 months before the screening visit.
All visits will take place on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and participants will receive all study-related examination and medications at no cost.  For more information, call Nicola Haakonsen at (303) 724-4644.

Newly Diagnosed Parkinson Disease Small Group Education 
2nd Thursday's of the month | 1:00pm - 4:00pm
University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion | Department of Neurosciences, 4th Floor Conference Room
Educational session includes: A brief presentation from a specialist, an open discussion in a small group setting in order to address your specific questions and concerns and handouts for support and resources in your local community. Raising the Bar to End Parkinson's

Conscious Crafting Workshop Series - The 7 Cycles of Self-Healing

Join Siere Munro in deepening your self-healing skills the Nia way, as Siere guides you on a somatic journey through Moving to Heal's 7 cycles. Receive tips and practices designed to increase self-healing in your life, work, play and dance. This workshop is open to all teachers and students and is suitable for those living with long or short term illness as well as those who simply desire to connect with the restorative movement of the healing arts.
