2016: Our Most Successful Year!

Thanks to All of You!
We want to thank all of our supporters throughout the year for your generosity that has made 2016 our most successful year ever! You are the best!

As 2016 draws to a close we can reflect on our past accomplishments and look forward to the changes in the coming new year that will continue to connect communities and enhance the lives of those living with Parkinson's disease and their families. The Parkinson Association provided more services in 2016 than ever before:
  • 42 weekly exercise classes resulting in more than 504,000 participant exercise hours this year
  • 51 monthly support groups attended by more than 1,200 individuals
  • 743 hours of free in-home visits and telephone consults
  • 165 individuals checking out walkers through a free equipment loan program
  • 6,800 households receiving the ParkinsonVoice newsletter three times this year
  • 5,000+ recipients of the biweekly e-news
  • 1,552 hours of education throughout the year
These numbers translate into more and more Coloradans living well and finding greater enjoyment in life through learning how to thrive with this disease.

While the Association is proud of these accomplishments, we are looking forward to 2017. We plan to build upon our current successes by offering more exercise programs, revamping educational programs and conferences to continue addressing the immediate needs of the community, strengthening support groups and partnerships; as well as committing the organization to a stronger role in public advocacy. We are grateful for your continued support that enables us to further engage those living with Parkinson's disease to overcome the challenges of this disease and better enjoy their lives.  There is still time for you to make a difference in the lives of those living with Parkinson's!

Thank you!
Cheryl Siefert, MNM
