Looking back, informing the future
On Feb. 3, SAI hosted a discussion forum in Delhi to facilitate a personalized dialogue about Partition. Professor Uma Chakravarti, who moderated the discussion, showed how these stories connect to the present and inform our understanding of history, nation, community, and religion.
International Photo Contest winners
Congratulations to Harvard College students Bharath Venkatesh '17 and Marisa Houlahan '17 ,  who were chosen by SAI as winners of the  Office of International Education's Annual International Photo Contes t for their photos taken in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Tiger reserves and nature preserves
During winter session, Mei Yin Wu, Harvard College '17, interned at Wildlife Conservation Trust in Mumbai, which currently works with over 110 national parks and sanctuaries in India, covering tiger reserves and nature preserves.

The 1947 Partition of British India
The SAI research project  ' Looking Back, Informing the Future: The 1947 Partition of British India '  is creating an archive to digitize the stories, records, and reflections of the 1947 Partition of British India in crowd proportions. We will be collecting both first hand and second hand stories.
