Mark your calendars! On March 18-20, 2013, Fight Colorectal Cancer will be hosting our 7th annual Call-on Congress. This event provides a unique opportunity for survivors, caregivers, and families to come together and unite behind a cure.

 

Attendees come from across the country to represent the interests of colorectal cancer patients. We provide them with an intensive training on advocacy and in-depth policy briefings then we send them to Capitol Hill to meet face-to-face with their members of Congress and staff to urge their support of funding for colorectal cancer research and prevention, as well as access to care.

 

One Million Strong is a unified messaging campaign to  empower advocates and provide them with resources to raise awareness and promote prevention. Our celebrity guest, Carmen Marc Valvo, will kick off festivities and we will unveil our new public service announcement starring baseball sports legend Frank White, musical sensation Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, and more!  

 

Now more than ever, we need to remind policy makers that colorectal cancer has a face. During these critical days of budget cuts we feel advocacy and education are vitally important in the fight against colorectal cancer.
