Thanks for checking in here to stay on top of what's happening at Cedarbrook!

The B.L.E.S.S. series has been helpful to show us how to not just share our faith but share our LIFE with others. That's what makes us a blessing. On Sunday I looked at serving others.

I've often talked about WHY we should serve others, but on Sunday I looked at HOW we can serve by looking at five key words, using Jesus as our example.

I was personally challenged by Jesus' example. Give it a read or listen here.

Pastor Kyle Has a New Role at Cedarbrook!
We've always done our best to put people in positions where they are most gifted. It's clear to everyone on our LEAD team that Pastor Kyle is an excellent manager of people and projects. He is a natural multi-tasker.

Given his gifts we gave him a new title of Executive Pastor. This means that he oversees both the ministry and business side of Cedarbrook Church. All the staff reports to Kyle. He also oversees our facilities team .

Kyle's excellent management skills free me up to do the more traditional pastoral role of preaching and counseling, my two skill areas. More and more you will probably hear me refer to myself as the "Teaching Pastor" rather than "Lead Pastor" since Kyle really shares the leadership with me. Give Kyle a "congrats" when you see him. He deserves it.

Giving Good Feedback
In a church our size, you might wonder how to offer feedback or ask questions. Our staff and leadership loves to hear back what we are doing well, as well as what needs improvement.

Send an email to me or the staff member most closely related to your concern. You can also call us or turn in a Connection Card on Sunday. If you turn in a Connection Card, please give us your name and contact information so we can talk to you about your feedback and answer your questions. Thanks!

I hope to see you Sunday when I finish out the B.L.E .S.S. series.

Summer Concert #2: Emilie Menz
Monday, July 31st, 7:00 p.m. - Cedarbrook Amphitheater

Emilie drew the biggest crowd last summer of our three concerts. She did not disappoint. This year she's back with a great band and her powerful voice.

Invite your friends and bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
The pizza oven will be roaring. Come hungry!

Believer Baptism - Confirmation,  August 13th at 6:00 p.m.
Declare Your Faith or Come to Hear the Stories

Baptism is a person's public declaration of their new faith in Christ and commitment to follow his teaching. If you've never been baptized, now is the time!

If you were baptized as an infant but want to confirm your faith, this is your time as well.
  • Baptism/Confirmation: Sunday August 13th 6PM.
  • Meet with Pastor Remy before August 13th. Email him here to set up meeting.
  • Bring a dessert to share after the baptism.
  • Invite your friends and family. It's a great celebration of faith!

Reading Through the New Testament
Preparing now for a Fall launch

Reading through the New Testament
Reading through the
New Testament
This fall we will take eight weeks to read our way through the New Testament with sermons and videos to support our reading.

In addition to the daily readings, videos, and sermons, we want to offer 25 circles where people meet to discuss the weekly New Testament readings.

Would you consider facilitating one of these reading groups? If you are currently leading a circle, would you consider joining this new study?

To learn more, read this page and watch the embedded video. Please contact Lisa Diederich if you are interested in facilitating a circle.

Want to get a head start? This website will give you a link to download a free e-book of the New Testament, a free audio version, and links to daily videos that help explain the Bible.

Mark Your Summer Calendar

Please put these events on your calendar:

All the necessary tools will be provided. Lunch will be served as well.

Consider Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM)
When counseling isn't enough

Cedarbrook's best kept secret is our Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM). TPM helps facilitate inner healing of deep hurts that manifest in depression, shame, anger, fear, etc.

If you have struggled with these problems and found no help elsewhere, then maybe it's time to try something new.

We have a trained team of prayer facilitators. To learn more, watch the introductory video and then email Lisa Diederich to set up an introductory meeting.

Jesus came to set us free. Don't let your past keep you in bondage.

Stepping Stones Can Use Your Help

Stepping Stones logo
Want to Be a Rescue Ranger?

Stepping Stones is looking for volunteers who can transport food from our food rescue partners in Menomonie.

Because of our Food Rescue program with local partners in Menomonie, we are able to provide fresh produce and many other foods to our Food Pantry clients.

This helps us stretch our Food Pantry budget, adds variety, and redirects food that would otherwise end up in the landfill.  We collect food from Marketplace Foods, Dick's Fresh Market, Walmart, Kwik Trip, Aldi's, Menomonie Market Co-op, and Caribou/Einstein Bagels.

If you have a truck, van or SUV,  a good driving record, and a few extra hours YOU could become a Rescue Ranger!  This is a great activity for individuals, families, or groups and will help us keep our food pantry stocked.

If you are interested in joining our team to help out with our Food Rescue program, please contact: our Community Connections Coordinator, Jane Redig at:
