“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24–26 (NIV)
This is the blessing that God told Moses to instruct Aaron and the priests to speak over Israel. I would like to present this blessing over you this week as you consider the Heavenly Father’s heart toward you…
The Lord…
Jehovah, The One true God, The Alev and the Tav, The Alpha and Omega, The first and last, the beginning and the end. The author of Creation, and Author and perfector of your faith…
Bless You…
The Hebrew word here is “Barak” meaning to bow a knee in honor.
and keep you…
is able to finish what He has begun in you and will never leave you nor forsake you. He will see His work completed in you to the very end of the age.
make his face shine upon you…
The radiance of His splendor and favor will bring you into His light, breaking every ounce of darkness in you and around you.
and be gracious to you…
Allowing His unmerited favor and access to His most holy presence, rest upon you all the days of your life.
the Lord turn his face toward you…
All of His favor, compassion and attention is upon you. You are the apple of His eye!
and give you peace.
I am Jehovah-Shalom and will give you peace that transcends all troubles for my yoke is easy and my burden is light!
Today, the God of all Creation is longing for His people to draw near to Him. He promises…if we will draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. Israel was to be a mighty testimony to the nations of His unfailing favor and love. Today…we are grafted into this covenant through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Here is my breakdown of this blessing our Lord has for you today…
"Jehovah, the God all creation bows His knee, bestowing honor and glory to you, lifting you up in His presence and is able to keep you from falling, turns all of His Omnipotence, His Omnipresence and His Omniscience towards you, giving you His unmerited favor and making peace in the presence of your enemies.”
You need life spoken into you this week. I trust that this brings encouragement to you. We would love to have you come and be a part of our Weekend gatherings. Our service times are 6pm on Saturdays and 10:30am on Sundays. Considering making us a part of your Spiritual growth plan. God Bless!
