Summer is definitely here, and things at Trinity are bubbling with energy as our hallways, classrooms, and fields are filled with the smiling faces of all those who are participating in our Summer Time Fun, Cross Trainers, and Fusion Programs. As a parent of two of those children, and a pastor, I am so grateful for the grace-filled ways that our staff and volunteers are pouring God's love into these young lives with creative, fun-filled activities designed to build their imagination, motor skills, and confidence. Meanwhile, Sonlight has been in Jamaica all week. Based on the reports I am hearing, God is clearly working in and through their gift for music and their servant's hearts as they have worked to build homes for families in need while sharing the good news of God's unfailing love with everyone they meet. They will be back
on Saturday evening, and I encourage you to continue to keep them in your prayers.
If you are in town
this Sunday, you won't want to miss worship! We will be embarking on a new sermon series:
An Unexpected Journey - Stories from the Book of Genesis. We will explore the 'Unpopular' call of Noah to build an ark and how we, as individuals and a church, are still called to be in the ark building business today. Then, following the
11:00 am service, we will be gathering for lunch while we work in shifts to pack 30,000 meals for children in need in Honduras as part of our Month of Missions. Worship, food, fellowship, and serving together - does it get any better? I'll look forward to seeing you there!
Blessings of peace and joy,
