"Brothers and sisters, I want to call your attention to the good news that I preached to you, which you also received and in which you stand."
- 1 Corinthians 15:1
So begins the Scripture reading for my message this Sunday. The apostle Paul was constantly inviting people to hear the message he had to offer. At the heart of that message was the good news that we celebrate this weekend...that Jesus died, was buried, and has been raised from the dead. Paul knew that an encounter with the risen Christ had the power to change a person's life. Indeed, it had radically changed his own!
And so, I am encouraging you today to channel your inner Paul (or Paula) and invite someone to hear the good news this weekend. Extend an invitation for a friend, neighbor, or colleague to join you this Sunday for Easter worship with Trinity. Tell them how excited you are to celebrate Easter and how much you would love for them to come, too. If they have children, let them know what a great day it is for young families and that there will be fun activities for the kids, including an Easter Egg Hunt.
Friends, let's share the joy of our faith with others. God wants everyone to be in on the party...and that's no April Fool's!
See you Sunday!
Our Mission Box offering this weekend will be for ZOE. You may remember that last year our special offering enabled us to adopt a group of 80+ children and youth in a Rwandan village. This year's offering will support the second year of the three-year ZOE training model, equipping them to be self-sufficient small business owners and leaders in their community. I encourage you to give generously to this transformative endeavor.
