It's that time again! Turkey time! Yes, we're already beginning to put together the 1500 Thanksgiving baskets that we offer to households in our community. We have already received many frozen turkeys and we need 530 more turkeys. We'll be receiving them all day tomorrow (8am-8pm) and Sunday (8am-6pm). Drop off is in the driveway loop by the back door of the kitchen. Just look for the freezer truck!
And just in case you need a reminder, hold on to this image of one of your pastors looking like a turkey. That's Steve in the kitchen with Vince Perry as he prepares the delicious turkey for our staff team Thanksgiving potluck earlier today. Steve also was the turkey for the staff turkey trot this morning.
Take a look at the video and hum the theme music for Chariots of Fire in your head.
This Sunday is also the time for each of us to express our gratitude to God as we offer our pledge cards in worship. A pledge card was mailed earlier this week to each household, and we invite you to bring it with you Sunday morning and offer it to God as an act of worship. We'll also have extra pledge cards in each of the Sunday bulletins.
In Sunday school, all of our children have also been learning about living gratefully and making offerings to God. Several children will be presenting all of their pledge cards in worship, and Pastor Steve will be offering a special song as well. We'll look forward to seeing you there.
We know that some of you may be traveling, and we invite you to fill out your pledge card on line (click here). As we all offer our gifts back to God, together we can support the ministry and mission of Trinity in this community and far beyond.
