It's hard to believe we've been serving alongside you for almost two months now. We feel like we've had a great beginning together and hope you feel the same. One of the things we have particularly enjoyed has been the gatherings in people's homes. We've had about a dozen so far and have about another dozen on the calendar (and we'll probably need a few more after that). These gatherings have really helped us learn more about you and more about Trinity through you. They are also a wonderful way to help us learn names and faces. If you've not yet signed up for a gathering, just click here to sign up for one that is either near you or on a convenient day or time.
We also so much appreciate everyone wearing their nametags on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and other times. It has been and will continue to be helpful to us and to anyone who's new. Of course, we have new folks every week, so we encourage you to make wearing your nametags an ongoing habit. If you don't have one (or the dog ate it!) please email June, and we'll make sure you get one.
Finally, we also encourage you to make it a habit to fill out the Connection Card in your bulletin each week and place it in the offering plate. These cards help us to get to know our first time guests, and equally important, they help us stay connected with those of you who are a part of Trinity and have been for quite some time. Each week we'll be looking at who has registered their attendance and, if we've missed you for a few weeks, we'll be writing you a note. It's our way to check in with you and let you know you're missed and see if there is anything you need. So please help us out by making sure to provide at least your name and email each week on the Connection Card.
This week I invite you to make a special effort to be in worship on Sunday. As we finish our worship series on "Who Is This Man?", we'll be looking at Jesus, the one who asks us to follow him, and have the opportunity for persons to make a commitment to follow Christ or to participate in a meaningful reaffirmation of baptismal vows.
Steve and I are grateful to serve as two of your pastors and are confident this is where we are called to be as we serve God through Trinity.
