The 2013 Trail's End Popcorn Sale introduces 5 new bold & delicious flavors.

 

 

Dark & White Chocolate Drizzle - Sweet and salty Kettle Corn with a decadent dark and white chocolatey drizzle.

 

 

Bacon Ranch - Crunchy popcorn that combines a blast of ranch with a kick of bacon for the perfect snack.  Everything goes better with bacon!

 

 

Buffalo Cheddar Cheese - Spicy buffalo flavors unite with our traditional cheddar cheese popcorn to ignite you taste buds.

 

 

Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese - Crispy cheese popcorn with a spicy punch of jalapeno.

 

 

 

Kettle Corn - Now pre-popped and ready to eat, this popcorn is sweet and salty with that straight from the kettle taste. 

 

New Prize Incentive Program

Beginning this year Trail's End will no longer be offering a prize incentive program, but do not worry because the Longhouse Council has partnered with Keller Marketing to bring you a better than ever prize incentive program.  Fourteen Prize Levels with the first on beginning with the sale of one item.  Keller Marketing will have a link on the Trail's End Website for the unit to place prize orders.  You can visit Keller Marketing at www.boyscouts-gcc.com for a description of prizes available.

 

Top Council Sellers

The Top Council Seller will receive a Kayak Package which includes an Old Town Dirigo 120 Kayak, a Carlise Magic Paddle, and an Extrasport Vortex Paddling Vest. (Retail - $850)

 

 

 

How do I Join? - Sell $600 during the Fall 2013 Trails End Popcorn Sale through, Take Orders, Show & Sell, Show and Deliver, and Online.  Turn in a copy of your orders to the Scout Service Center by fax - 315-463-5729, e-mail - [email protected] mail to - Longhouse Council, BSA, 2803 Brewerton Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211, or just drop it off at the Service Center. 

 

What do I get?

 

Every Scout who joins the $600 Club will receive a Smithsonian Science Kit.  Each Scout can pick one of three kits which include; The Giant Volcano, Prehistoric Sea Monsters, or Diggin' Up Dinosaurs T-Rex.  You will get another one for every additional $600 you sell, so collect all three.

 

What can I win?

 

You will get one entry for every $600 you sell.  The more you sell the better your chances of winning great prizes. 

Weekly Prizes Include:

• 1st Place Weekly Prize - A family four pack of tickets to the 2014 Monster Jam, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Carrier Dome.  They also include 4 passes to the Friday Party in the pits the day before the show.
• 2nd Place Weekly Prize - LEGO Star Wars Imperial V-Wing Starfighter.
• 3rd Place Weekly Prize - LEGO Ferrari F1 Truck. 

Its a Celebration! Make It Fun! 

 

Imagine only doing one fundraiser a year to fund all of your programs! This can be done through a well organized and fun popcorn sale and a necessary step to getting your parents and scouts on board is by holding a popcorn kickoff.  Your unit popcorn sales will take off if your unit hosts a popcorn kickoff at your pack meeting.

 

By holding a kickoff you motivate your scouts to sell by making popcorn fun and showing them the prizes they can earn through the prize program. You get buy in from your parents and leaders because they will have all the information for the sale they need to be successful and will see how organized and easy the sale will be. They will see that putting forward a little bit of their effort and time now, will save them time and energy in the future by eliminating the need for all the other unit fundraisers. They will appreciate you making the most of their volunteered time.

 

Popcorn Kickoff Agenda 

Opening Activity

 

Purpose - Keeps guest busy until the program starts & gets them excited about what is to come.

 

Tips - Be sure to have all supplies at each table.  Make sure the activity is simple so that everyone can participate and that it takes very little direction to complete. 

 

Examples - Popcorn Themed Name Tags, Building a popcorn structure with popcorn and toothpicks, foam art, popcorn coloring pages, etc.  Tie this into a contest for later in the program (Best Name Tag, or Popcorn Structure).

 

Welcome

 

Purpose - Lets everyone know you're starting.  Perfect time to make introductions.  Give a short verbal of the agenda of fun stuff.

 

Why We Sell

 

Purpose - Letting everyone know the benefits of selling.  Why pay out of pocket or participate in multiple fund raisers when popcorn can pay for your scout's entire year of scouting.  One fundraiser to pay for it all. 

 

Tips - Audience participation:  Play a game to get people thinking why they need to sell.
