Meuse Memorial Goal Reached

Naming the Stage is Next!

JEM flag ceremony

Congratulations to Norweaster Service Unit! The campaign to name the flagpole at North Fork Leadership Center in memory of Jesse Elizabeth Meuse is complete. Their initial gift inspired other donors to help reach the $5,000 goal just in time for Celebrate a Century.  Check out the flagpole's new sign in memory of Mrs. Meuse next time you visit the Lois T. Graessle Amphitheater at North Fork, and the flagpole dedication ceremony photo album on Flickr

Now Norweaster has a new project. They're out to name the STAGE at the amphitheater.  Again the goal is $5,000. If you would like to make a contribution to the stage at North Fork, send your gift to Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, 1000 Shearer Ave., Jacksonville 32205 or donate online at our website and mark "Stage" in the notes section.

Would your troop, cluster, or service unit like a naming opportunity at North Fork? Contact Linda Hull at 904-421-3484,  lhull@girlscouts-gateway.org for ideas.

Do you know a new leader?

If so, you can help them get a jump start on their volunteer opportunity!  Start by having them complete the volunteer application, self-assessment, leader/council agreement or volunteer/council agreement and submit these forms to their local service center for processing.  Starting this initial step early can help your troop or committee get off to a great start this year!  See your Service Unit Manager, Coach or Membership Specialist for the step 2 packet.
