HOMECOMING DETAILS
 FRIDAY SCHOOL INFO

Friday, October 21st is a half-day for all students  and is our HUGE pep-rally for students in grades 1-12.  This day requires A LOT of organization and we are providing VERY DETAILED information. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING so that you
will know exactly what we need you to do to keep things running smoothly! 

  • K2-K5 will report to Japonica as usual however there WILL NOT be a carpool drop off option.  Parents will need to park and walk their students to the classroom.  
  • 1st-12th grade students will ALL be on the University Campus for the day. See the map for details regarding carpool drop-off and pick-up.
  • There will be no after school care provided for students on the University Campus. K2-K5 students will have Stay and Play option after school dismisses.

Our Homecoming tailgate gets bigger and better every year! We do it up right with RV's, tents, and of course, some SERIOUS FOOD!  TAILGATING is for everyone so   gather your friends and family and your kid's friends and families and tailgate at the game.  We have plenty of room  for everyone to set up.  Come out and party with us!  We'll have prizes for the best theme and decorations and more!     
 

 The football game kicks off at 7:00 pm as our Wildcats take on the Tigers from Choctaw County.  Come out and show your support for our Boys of Fall and their awesome coaches! At half-time we'll announce the Homecoming Court and Queen and after the 3rd quarter we'll take our annual alumni photo! The weather will be cooler and the team would love to have your support.  Come out and cheer them on! 



HOMECOMING DANCE
The Homecoming Dance (Upper School students) will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at Heron Lakes Country Club from 8:00 pm until 10:30 pm.   Tickets are $25 per person.  
M & A will be taking the photos (the price is included in the cost of the ticket). 


HOMECOMING COURT
Congratulations to our 2016 Homecoming Court:  Freshmen Madi Moseley and Shelby Windham, Sophomores Michaela Holt and Taylor Warren, Juniors Natalie Bonner and Cayla Seelhorst and   Seniors Courtni Farni, Olivia Fisher, Camille Hunt, and Ella Johnson.
Our court will be presented during half-time of tomorrow night's game and the 2016 Homecoming Queen will be announced and crowned. 
 
VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations to our Lady Wildcats who clinched the Area Championship Monday night and are headed to the Super Regionals in Montgomery for competition on Friday and Saturday.  We are so proud and will be cheering them on all the way!
ST. LUKE'S FALL FESTIVAL
Put it on your calendars if it isn't already there...
OCTOBER 27TH  JAPONICA CAMPUS
6:00 PM -  8:00 PM
The festival includes a haunted house, jumpies, games, food and FUN! Join us for a great time. Donations of toilet paper, paint brushes, Dum Dum suckers, Little Debbie's and more are needed.  Download the details .

ROBOTICS GAME DAY
Our SLES Robotics Team has been busy digging deep for the 2016 Jubilee BEST competition on Saturday, October 29th at the Mitchell Center.  They are not only responsible for designing and building their robot, they are required to design and create a trade booth, provide a sales presentation to the judges, publicize their product and its abilities, provide community outreach, assist other BEST teams and can also earn points based on the number of fans who come out to cheer them on for game day! There are 38 teams competing..come cheer on our team.

YOU can help them earn their spirit points by cheering them on during the competition Saturday, October 29th between 9 am and 3 pm at the Mitchell Center!

YDL CROSS COUNTRY..SAISTA CHAMPS!
Great job by our YDL Cross Country Team at the 2016 South Alabama Independent School Association Cross Country Championship Meet this week. The boys and girls teams BOTH brought home the Team Championships! The girls team finished with 5 runners in the top 10 and the boys team had 6 runners in the top 10.
WELLS FARGO FUN RUN- DEADLINE EXTENDED
The Wells Fargo Senior Bowl Fun Run is November 7th (10 AM) and they are providing cash to schools for students, parents and teachers who participate: $100 for 10 or more registrants, an additional $100 for 50 or more entries, an additional $1000 for 100 or more finishers, $1500 to the school with the largest number of participants and $1500 to the school with the highest % of students that participate (based on school enrollment).   Registration is $8 student/$10 adult and includes a long sleeve t-shirt and admission to the Family Fun Festival. 
REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE SCHOOL BY MONDAY. 

ST. LUKE'S MERRY MARKET
Are you crafty? Do you make/sell something people would buy at local Christmas markets? If so, we would like to partner with you to celebrate the holidays and deck the halls with your best gift items. In addition to our Lower School book fair we would like to have a MERRY MARKET   featuring inexpensive Christmas gifts, decor and yes, Wildcat wear. Our St. Luke's Merry Market will be in the Dining Hall on the Japonica Campus December 1, 2016 in conjunction with Christmas Under the Oaks. We would like to partner with you! In return for being a vendor, a taxable donation to the school would be appreciated.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the St. Luke's Merry Market please complete the Vendor Registration Form and return to Mrs. Harbin (on the Japonica Campus) or Mrs. Cotton (on the University Campus) before November 1, 2016.  Space is limited

CROSS COUNTRY
The varsity Cross Country team will compete in the Fairhope City Pier Race on Saturday.  Girls will run at 4:30 pm and Boys will run at 5:00 pm. It should be a beautiful Saturday..come out and cheer them on!
