UNIVERSITY CAMPUS MEDICAL INFO

There have been 2 confirmed cases of Mono on our University Campus.  The virus that causes mono is transmitted through saliva, so you can get it through a cough or sneeze, kissing, or by sharing a glass or food utensils with someone who has mono. Please explain this to your children and caution them to avoid sharing drinks, straws, food, food utensils and to wash their hands after coughing or sneezing.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
What a GREAT DAY TO BE A WILDCAT..or a dog, hamster, turtle, fish, snake, etc.
Blessing of the Animals is always one of the best days of the year for our Japonica students.  Bringing a pet to school makes it just that much more exciting (and a little chaotic), but the smiles say it all!  THANK YOU PARENTS for your participation.

SLES STUDNETS AND SUMMER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
When school ends for the summer, students look forward to NO HOMEWORK and relaxation. Many of our SLES students also use the time to find opportunities that will help them explore their interests, develop their abilities and improve their skills.  We asked students on the University Campus to let us know about the programs they participated in and we discovered some pretty amazing stuff!  Our students participated in some incredible programs this summer both in Mobile and around the country and WE ARE IMPRESSED! REGISTER NOW FOR YDL BASKETBALL
Grades 3-6
Registration is now open for Boys and Girls YDL basketball (3rd-6th grades). The deadline to register is October 12th.  LATE REGISTRATIONS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
There will be both boys and girls divisions.  Teams will be based upon the number of registrants but will be either combined 3rd and 4th grade and 5th and 6th grade teams or, with enough players, may be grade level teams.  Practices may begin as soon as  October 12th depending on the time frame of the team being organized and the coach's availability.

We NEED COACHES--without volunteers to coach we wont be able to form teams or begin practices.  The varsity coaches are willing to provide guidance with practices routines, drills, or anything else that will help you as a coach.

VARSITY FOOTBALL
The Wildcats are at HOME tonight!  Come out and cheer them on.  While their record might not reflect it, these boys and coaches are working as hard as any other team is working for Friday night competition.  Come out and cheer them on!   VARSITY SCHEDULE
