St. Luke's Episcopal School

August 26, 2016
Our awesome faculty and administration AVERAGE 16 years of EXPERIENCE!  Our SLES administrators average almost 36 years of experience....It's this experience that makes the St. Luke's "Experience" such a great thing!
We asked our Student Ambassadors to list their favorite things about St. Luke's and without exception they wrote about their teachers and coaches! Here are some quotes from a few of them:
"Your teachers are really there for you.  They really encourage and help you anytime it is needed."
"Our teachers and coaches don't just care about what happens in the classroom or on the court, they care about what kind of a person you become."
"I love St. Luke's because it is so clear to see how much the faculty cares about the lives of the students.  Teachers are willing to do as much as they can do to benefit the future of their students."

St. Luke's Athletic Booster Club will host its 3rd annual Meet & Greet/Pep Rally at the University Campus's Girls & Boys new Athletic Field House "The Cage".  Free hot dogs, chips and water will be served beginning at 5:30 pm and the pep rally begins at 6:15 pm.  After the pep rally,  our varsity football players, volleyball players, cross country runners and cheerleaders will be autographing posters for our "Little Wildcats".  The newly renovated "Cage" will be open for everyone to tour.  Come by and check it our for yourself and help us kick off fall sports for the Wildcat nation!

The 2016-2017 Honor Pledge Ceremonies, led by the members of our Honor Council, were held on Monday and Tuesday of this week.  The Honor Pledge is a commitment made by all SLES students, faculty and staff.  The  What is the St. Luke's Honor Code?
"As a St. Luke's student, I will neither lie, cheat, steal, intend to deceive, nor tolerate any of these acts."
During the Middle and Upper School ceremony, the new members of the Honor Council took their oath to uphold the standard of Honor set forth at St. Luke's and each member signed the 2016-17 pledge card.  The members of the Class of 2017, leading by example, signed the pledge card in front of the  6th-11th grade students, faculty, staff and parents.  Afterwards,  students were dismissed to their homerooms, in silence, where they also signed the Honor Pledge Card.
