"EXPERIENCE" ST. LUKE'S

Occasionally, we come across "experiences" regarding  our faculty and staff that we'd like to share with you.  The stories may be serious or funny, but we think you will enjoy getting to know a "different" side to the wonderful women and men who are teaching, encouraging, supporting and cheering for your child! If you have a story about one of our teacher's that's worth sharing please forward it jhammons@stlukesmobile.com. (We'll get permission before printing!)

Did you know...one member of our faculty helped her father custom build a casket? Her great aunt requested that they build it for her and so they did! The casket was handcrafted and lined with a beautiful pale blue satin.  This teacher and her father had to get the casket from Georgia to Alabama, so they strapped it to the top of their minivan and hit the road!  Can you imagine passing THAT on the highway?  Can you guess who the teacher is?

Here's a hint: In a touching tribute to her great aunt, she had the blue satin used as the lining in a very important carrying case which has something to do with her job!

Planned Giving- Leave a Legacy
"It is up to us to live up to the legacy that was left for us, and to leave a legacy that is worthy of our children and of future generations."
Some of the most significant donations a non-profit organization will receive are established through planned gifts.  Not everyone can make a significant gift outright but with some planning a donor can leave a legacy gift that will forever benefit St. Luke's Episcopal  School.  To learn more about how to Leave a Legacy download information here or contact the Development Office at 666-2991 ext. 8140.
