Pay No Attention! 2/22/17
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Too often, WE forget that when OUR lives are NOT handing us LEMONADE WE rend to relax and forget WE have an enemy-satan!!!
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
WE tend to "take our foot off the gas," coast, gloat and revel in the "salad days."
Just as Nat King Cole sang:
"
ROLL OUT THOSE LAZY, HAZY, CRAZY DAYS OF SUMMER," WE somehow fall into the trap of believing "WE got this thang called life!!"
The devil NEVER sleeps nor gives up and just when we least expect it, there he is AGAIN nipping at OUR heels.
Recently, a sincere and devoted believer imposed upon himself a series of FASTS.
His desire was as pure as the driven snow as he wanted to "go deeper" into God and longed for the day of MIRACLES to dawn once again in his life and all mankind.
Being the wiser and OLDER Christian, I warned him of the impending attack and attacks that were surely to come.
Does not our Bible teach us:
1 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
I preached this truth a few sermons ago, expounding that satan will continue to use the same tactics until and if WE figure out what he is doing!!!!

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Another beloved friend and brother in the Lord RE-posted a part of a recent sermon I wrote on FB.
It was a partial quote from the great boxer, George Foreman.
I PREACHED to myself as I Re-read his words:
"In something like this, you just have to fight. You can't even worry about the audience," he said.
When you're in the ring you don't listen to anything, you must step forward and fight. Fight!"
Again, most often the enemy is not who or what it appears to be!!!

We START out with noble intentions only to be best by trouble, setbacks, and EXCUSES and are deterred from our God appointed duty/mission.
I read only recently that MOST people, as they approach the last days of their lives, are MORE disappointed by what they did NOT do in their allotted days-let alone ATTEMPT to do-that what they did!!
It is ALWAYS better to try and fail, that to NOT try and succeed!!!
Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV)
10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Do NOT be swayed by either the cheers or the jeers of the crowd!!!
Heed the wise council of the successful professional boxer, George Foreman:
