Sermon: Rev. LeeAnn Inman
Awakening Our Wonder:
"Flip the Switch"
Scripture: Isaiah 60:1-6

Join us for our new Easter season worship series: AWAKENING OUR WONDER: From Ordinary to Extraordinary from April 8th to May 27th Theme: How everyday life activities can become spiritual practices.  We tend to lead lives that are too crowded, busy, overcommitted, sometimes disturbing and uncertain. On the heels of celebrating the resurrection of Christ, let's explore aspects of our everyday life activities that when viewed from a different perspective can actually become spiritual practices that deepen our sense of purpose and awaken within us a sense of wonder.
Church Workday - April 14
On the second Saturday of every month, our Peace United Methodist Church Board of Trustees sponsor a campus workday.  Our commitment is to have a specific list of chores or projects to complete each month, and that our work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and finish no later than 12:00 noon.   We will have a wide variety of tasks that are suitable for all ages-both indoors and out! There is no obligation to show up every month.  No skill set or handy man capabilities are required, just love for our church home and the desire to serve. We hope to see you on Saturday, April 14th for some spring cleaning!

Help Us Raise the Roof!
As with any building, our church has needed care and attention through the years. Thanks to the generous support of our members and friends who have donated their skills, time and finances, Peace has been blessed with many recent renovations and upgrades. Yet, there are still areas of our church home that need immediate attention-the most urgent need being the church roof.
Following Hurricane Irma, our Trustee Committee identified dozens of small leaks that damaged interior ceiling tiles. Multiple roof inspections and estimates have given us the same news. The roof must be replaced (preferably before the next hurricane season) and the cost will be around $80,000. The winds from the storm were simply too much for 13 year old roof shingles already weakened by time and the Florida heat. Unfortunately, our hurricane insurance deductible is over $100,000 and the current roof is no longer under its original warranty.
Peace is blessed to be completely debt free, but we find ourselves facing a large expense that wasn't included within our normal church operating budget. Please pray about this roof project and what you can do to support it--any gift, large or small will help. Donations may be made online at or via cash or check (please write ROOF on the memo line or envelope). Help us raise the new roof!
