Fifth Sunday Special Offering for the UM Children's Home

Sermon: Rev. Jim Berlau
Angels Among Us: "Get Up and Go"

Scripture: Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23
As we have worked our way through the story of the birth of Christ, we have seen time and again evidence of angels bringing good news of great joy into the lives of others.  We have also seen how those who have experienced these angelic encounters have responded.  Some with fear, some with confusion, some with pure elation.  Yet in the end, all find encouragement, love, and a renewed sense of purpose within their lives. So how should we respond to this good news today? How exciting that we are called to share the same message through our words and actions.  What does God desire of us in response to the birth of Christ?  Maybe it's as simple as being angels to others.

New Worship Series - "Known and Called"
New Worship Series: KNOWN AND CALLED January 14th - February 11th  Theme: As we discover the depth of who Jesus is, we are called to claim these same characteristics as our own.

After the celebration of the birth of Jesus, we move into a season of hearing the stories of people discovering and recognizing the identity of Jesus. In the time from Epiphany to the beginning of Lent, we too will discover the depth of who Jesus is, and by extension who we are called to be as his followers. How are we known as followers? What identifies us in such a way that others see an unmistakable likeness in us?

Whether you are a new participant or one who has experienced the Joy Workshop in the past, come and discover a transformation of your mind that the Apostle Paul refers to in Romans 12:2.  Questions? 407-791-3424 or .
