Peace I Leave You! 11/6/16!
Peace I Leave You! 11/6/16

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Esther 5:13 (KJV)
13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.

I did not purposely place the above Scriptures in parallel-they seem awkward standing together?

I spent some time yesterday reading the Book of Ester-a great TRUE story of the HEROIC Jewish Queen, Ms. Ester.

She, like us, was a stranger living in a strange and foreign land.

She was CHOSEN of God for this great work:

Esther 4:14 (KJV)
14  For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

WEREVER YOU ARE/WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING, perhaps:

" who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

If TRUTH be known, MOST of us have MORE THAN ENOUGH!!!

But FEW, if any, has it ALL!!!

In EACH of our lives, there is a LACKING-something missing.

It could be a nagging illness, a continual financial battle, an ugly marriage, unruly children, depression, loneliness, or a myriad of other adversaries.

In the Book of Ester, a rising political star named Haman was one such fortunate man-a man who seemingly "had it all!"

He was a man with a rising star-success, wealth, fame and POWER-filled his dreams.

EXCEPT:

A poor Jew who refused to bow down to him-MORDECAI!!!

Esther 3:5 (KJV)
5  And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

Thus my opening Scripture:

Esther 5:13 (KJV)
13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.

In ALL of our lives there are Mordecai's!!!

People, circumstances, events that REFUSE to "bow down" to our authority and/or fail to properly honor and respect who we are.

Yet, in sad respite for what we HAVE, we mourn over what we HAD or NOT have!!

Esther 5:13 (KJV)
13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.

The KEY is we MUST "turn the page!!!!"

The older I become, the more I realize the LESS I can do!!!

" I can't fix it/I cannot do it" has become a comfortable and comforting phrase I now use often-Unashamedly!!

NO, I cannot help you move that heavy furniture!!

No, I cannot pay your bills!!!

No, I cannot attend that event!!

And, NO, you will no longer do that to me!!!!

Most of us BELIEVE "that other people will DO UNTO US AS WE DO UNTO THEM!!!"

NOT!!!!

Matthew 6:19-20 (KJV)
19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

A careful reading of Jesus' Words reveal His thought and real intent!

There is nothing wrong with HAVING but the companion of HAVING is another INTENT to "break through and steal!!!"

DO NOT BE LIKE HAMAN/MIKEY!!!!!!!

Esther 5:13 (KJV)
13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.

TODAY, do not allow the "TAKERS" to "break through and steal!"

YOUR JOY!!!!

YOUR PEACE!

YOUR WEALTH!

YOUR HAPPINESS!

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

There will ALWAYS be a THIEF/wolf knocking on YOUR DOOR-simply refuse to allow them to enter!!!

BE BLESSED TODAY!!

DO ALL YOU CAN FOR OTHERS BUT KNOW WHEN TO SAY WHEN/ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

JESUS SAID:

John 14:27 (KJV)
27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

GOD BLESS YOU!
