THANK YOU! HOPE Works Sept. 30

Last Saturday, our HOPE Team launched the first-ever HOPE Works Job Fair with one main focus: to help those within the reentry, recovery, human trafficked, or marginally housed communities, to find employment and a HOPE for a better tomorrow. The result? A day of with nearly 30% of job seekers receiving a job offer on the spot, or a second interview. Besides that amazing statistic, there were prayers, hugs, love, compassion and celebration for these often forgotten, yet well-deserving members of our community.

Three Ways to Give...

We invite you to stand by our neighbors during this time. Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those left homeless or otherwise affected by this disaster for years to come. Here are three different organizations with different focuses, to help our friends:

Focusing on the homeless needs in downtown Houston

In Conroe, TX, is currently set up as a shelter and needs support to help run it.
Christopher Lake, Senior Pastor, is Peace's Pastor Doug's former youth pastor.

Focusing on long-term recovery efforts for both Harvey and Irma.

Anyone (not just Thrivent members) can make a personal donation to hurricane victims. When you do, Thrivent will double the impact - up to $3 million.
One of the organizations listed to receive matching dollars is ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response. (Thrivent Financial will also pay the processing fees)
