Great Shake Out!
We will run a full earthquake disaster drill Wed., Oct. 18th at 10:18. We encourage everyone to go over their safety procedures at home as well. PAL is the parent group that helps out with school events like Grandparents' Day. All Pearl parents are invited to attend their next meeting tonight Oct. 17th at 7:00 pm in the Pearl Library. PAL also sponsors the current Reading Incentive Donation Drive.

Career Day
Pearl is planning a Career Day this coming January. If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering, please fill out the sign up form coming home in today's envelope.
Grandparents' Day
Grandparents' Day is fast approaching. The students are working hard on their big Patriotic medley. Order forms are going home today as we need to order food. Please turn in your orders by Wednesday, Nov. 1st.

Reading Incentive
The first reading incentive deadline is this Friday, October 20th. Students who have read 10 hours by that date will get to make their own ice cream sundae. Make sure you are keeping up on your weekly reading goals to earn this popular prize.
Literary Character
Tuesday, Oct. 31st is Literary Character Day at Pearl. All students are encouraged to bring a book and dress up as a character from that book. No ghosts, goblins, witches, vampires or monsters. Parents may come to RHP at 9:30 a.m. to watch the big parade and take pictures.
