By Adam DeSanctis. WASHINGTON (June 29, 2015) - Pending home sales continued to rise in May and are now at their highest level in over nine years, according to the
National Association of Realtors®. Gains in the Northeast and West were offset by small decreases in the Midwest and South. The
Pending Home Sales Index,* a forward-looking indicator based on contract signings, climbed 0.9 percent to 112.6 in May from a slight downward revision of 111.6 in April and is now 10.4 percent above May 2014 (101.9). The index has now increased year-over-year for nine consecutive months and is at its highest level since April 2006 (113.7).

NBC's Today show recognizes Tahoe South's Lights on the Lake Fireworks display as one of the country's top Fourth of July weekend Celebrations. The American Pyrotechnics Association rates South Shore's spectacular Fourth of July fireworks celebration one of the top five displays in the nation. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:45 PM. The fireworks are visible from all over town. Below are some of the sweet spots to get a front row seat.
