Greetings!
The plans are now in place for an exciting weekend for the Penfield High School Class of 1962 to celebrate its 50th Reunion! It begins with an informal gathering at the Shadow Pines Golf Club on Friday evening, June 22, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Shadow Pines is located at 600 Whalen Road. It will be a cash bar, with appetizers included as part of your registration fee for the weekend. Dress is Casual Attire.
On Saturday, Coach Steitz has arranged a tour of the High School. Anyone interested is asked to meet George at the "Track" at 12 Noon. It should be quite a trip down memory lane-- with a perfect "tour guide~"
Also on Saturday, we are planning to honor our classmate, 2nd Lieutenant Tom King who died in action in Vietnam. We have purchased a Memorial Plaque which will be dedicated in the Veterans Memorial Park, behind the Penfield Town Hall, which is located at 3100 Atlantic Avenue. We will let you know as soon as the time has been determined.
And, of course- the "Main Event"- Cocktails and Dinner at Midvale Country Club 2387 Baird Road . Saturday evening, June 23, 2012. Cocktails at 6:00 PM. Dinner at 7:30 PM. Dress is Business Casual.
Dinner includes a selection of dinner rolls, a tossed salad, a choice of four entrees, and assorted desserts. Please indicate your choice of entree on the registration form.
Please register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so we can get an idea of how many will be attending. Our deadline for reservations is April 7, 2012! Also- check the Classmate List below to reach out to your friends and make sure they are attending.
