Samantha Eliceche

Samantha Eliceche is 12 years old and in seventh grade at Peaceful Pathway Montessori School. She is a proud member of the A-Factor Dance Company, and has taken dance classes in pointe, jazz, lyrical, modern, ballet, tap and hip-hop.

Samantha loves the opportunities provided by the Fox Valley Park District and is planning to continue being a part of multiple dance styles, A-Factor Dance Company, drama productions and choir classes. She has used her dance and performance skills in many Winter Stage, Summer Stage, Holiday Spectacular and Talent Show productions since 2006, including 'The Wizard of Oz,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Into The Woods,' and in 'Cats' as "Toulouse." She also has danced in several competitions with A-Factor Dance Company, winning great awards at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge,  Hall of Fame National, StarQuest International, Applause Talent and League of Champion National.

Samantha has thrived at the Fox Valley Park District, enjoying new opportunities such as having choreographed her first dance solos for the Holiday Spectacular and Spring Break Talent Show, and being an assistant to Ms. Cindy. Her favorite memory is when she was on stage dancing to "One Short Day" and the music stopped. Without missing a beat, the dancers continued dancing and sang the rest of the song! Samantha would love to be on Broadway someday, a dance teacher or a veterinarian. The Fox Valley Park District is proud of Samantha and all her accomplishments!

Taylor Hamm

Taylor is the new Drama Coordinator for the Fox Valley Park District, assisting with everything from drama and music classes to theatre productions. Originally from McHenry, she took private vocal lessons and trained at her local dance studio from a young age. In high school, Taylor was a varsity member of the Illinois state championship pom squad, as well as a member of select choir. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with an emphasis on acting both for stage and film.

Most recently Taylor was in NBC's new hit drama series 'Chicago Fire' as well as FOX's 'The Mob Doctor.' Taylor has worked behind the scenes at Steel Beam Theatre and for one of Chicago's most prestigious talent agencies: Gray Talent Group.

"Working at Gray really opened my eyes to another side of the industry; the agents and staff at Gray Talent are some of the hardest working people I have ever met. They truly go above and beyond for their clients," said Taylor. "They taught me the importance of team effort."

Taylor is newly married and is looking forward to landscaping the yard of their new home with her husband Adam this spring. She has three dogs: Rascal, Dodger and Daisy, and loves to travel. Recently back from London and Paris, she hopes to make Ireland and Scotland her next adventure. "I am so incredibly excited to be working with the performing arts team here at the Fox Valley Park District. They have welcomed me with open arms and warm hearts. I truly love what I do and I hope that my passion shows in my work."

A Note from the Performing Arts Manager

This is an exciting time for the performing arts at the Fox Valley Park District! Dance recitals are right around the corner, which are a wonderful time to acknowledge the hard word, dedication and talent of the dancers in our programs.

A-Factor dancers (our competition team) has just completed an award-winning competition season as well. Hats off to all dancers and families who helped with the success of such a great year. We are looking forward to next year already, and we hope to see everyone at the auditions for A-Factor Dance Company on May 24.

The Park District is gearing up for the summer--where production and class opportunities for all ages are endless!  This year's Summer Stage production 'The Sound of Music' is sure to be a hit at the beautiful Paramount Theatre!  Aspiring actors ages 6 through adult, please join us for auditions on May 29 and 30.

New this year is the Applause Theatre Series, where children ages 6 to 18 will have an opportunity to audition for some amazing featured and leading roles. Rehearsals are during the day, and a new production will take place at Prisco Community Center every three weeks. Auditions begin on June 1 with 'Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS.'

We also are excited to offer online ticketing for all of our productions beginning this summer! Audiences are now able to choose and purchase their seats online, and we thank you for your feedback and requests for this type of service. We hope it makes ticketing easier and more convenient.

We look forward to seeing you around soon!
