This issue focuses on some exciting events coming up and a special senior corner to help you prepare for next steps after high school. IMPORTANT DATES
  • February 20 - No Classes - College Closed
  • March 13-17 - Spring Break - No Classes, College Open
  • March 27 - Summer and Fall 2017 Registration Opens
  • April 14 - Deadline to withdraw from class with no refund
  • May 8 - Classes End
  • May 9-15 - Final Exams
STUDENT WITHDRAWAL

Students, please note: if you are no longer interested in taking the course in which you are enrolled, it is YOUR responsibility to contact the Dual Enrollment office. The deadline for student withdrawal with no refund is April 14. To withdrawal from your course please email enroll@dccc.edu.

SUMMER & FALL REGISTRATION

Registration opens on March 27 for the Summer and Fall semester. Please contact your dual enrollment advisor or enroll@dccc.edu to register for class. Some high schools will be offering registration on site, please consult your high school guidance office. 

POWERUP


The College will be offering PowerUp, an online-only summer session, again. This is a great opportunity to earn college credit online. PowerUp session starts on June 6 and ends on August 10. Below are the courses the College is offering during the PowerUp session this summer. Registration for PowerUp opens on March 27. Below are some popular classes that are ideal for high school dual enrollment students. 


SENIOR CORNER

Congratulations on soon finishing high school and earning college credits. The information below will help you with your post-secondary transition.
 
Delaware County Community College
As a dual enrollment student you can seamlessly transition to stay on with the college to continue your savings and take advantage of our transfer agreements. If you are interested in staying on with the college or have questions please contact Amber Moore amoore33@dccc.edu.
 
Calling all Seniors!
Seniors, you are still eligible for the Dual Enrollment discount for both Summer I and/or PowerUp if you haven't reached 21 credits through Dual Enrollment. Take advantage of taking a couple of courses at the discount before you start your Fall 2017 semester. Registration for both sessions starts March 27.
 
Transcripts
Seniors, remember that you are responsible for sending out your college transcripts to the college/university you are attending and your high school (if necessary). To request a transcript log into your delaGATE account and click the Records and Registration tab. Under the Student Registration Quick Links, on the left hand side, click "Request a Transcript." You can look up your college/high school or enter the information. The College does not charge for transcripts. If you have any questions email enroll@dccc.edu.
 
Visiting Student
Delaware County Community College will always be here to support your college and career goals. Don't forget you can earn college credits over Summer and Winter break with approval from your four-year college or university. For more information please click  here.

Your student portal where you can check your class schedule, update emergency contact information, access course information, check your email and more.

 

Use this tool to search for your classes. You can filter by course, location, date and time. Here, you can also see if the class is full, get contact information for the professor and check out textbook information.  

TransferCheck
This awesome resource enables you to see how your courses may transfer to other institutions. It's a great way to start planning your future. Remember to check out the Career & Counseling Center too. 

Career Coach
This site is a great way to research possible career fields. It includes information on wages, area job postings and what career training you may need for the field you are interested in. It's never too early to start thinking about your career plans.

Learning Commons
The Learning Commons at Marple Campus, the branch locations and online is your access to the College's Library Services. This includes articles, books and website citation guides and Ask Here PA, where you can chat with a librarian outside of the College.

Smarthinking
Smarthinking gives you easy access to the College's tutoring resources. You can book an appointment, ask a question, submit an essay for review or chat live with a tutor. You can even download an app to book tutoring from anywhere.
